Besides having our own production facilities, we source our fruit and vegetables from other national and international locations. Our products are sourced and cultivated in compliance with our highest food safety standards. We try to ensure food safety and high quality at all times in order to fulfil our certification requirements.

Sourcing and picking are done by growers who share the same hygienic standards that we are aiming for. This all ensures that our fruit and vegetables are picked in accordance with precise specifications.

After harvesting, the products are washed to remove initial dirt.

During this phase the goods are carefully sorted by hand. Goods that are not of the expected quality are separated, as is any dirt and waste caused by mother nature.

Depending on the product and/or the customer’s wishes and needs, pitting, slicing and pressing can also be done at this stage.

After the first sorting process, the product is frozen quickly. It is important that this is done as soon as possible after harvesting. Specially designed super-fast freezers are used to freeze the products. The IQF (Individually Quick Freezing) method ensures that quality standards and product freshness are maintained after thawing.

To ensure clean and food safe products, the goods go through another machine sorting phase after the freezing phase.

Depending on the product and the customer’s needs, the goods will now be ready to be packed. Several packaging options are available, such as: 4 x 2.5KG bags in cartons, 10KG cartons, 20KG polycoated paper bags, 25KG polycoated paper bags, drums and octabins.

We believe it is important to deliver consistent quality. Our quality department constantly assesses and determines the quality of the products. We try to do all the checks, tests and analyses in-house so that we can accumulate as much as know-how as possible about the quality of each product for each individual customer. Before an order is confirmed, the specification has to be agreed by all parties. We can deliver to our specifications or we can provide a custom-made solution.

After all 8 steps have been completed correctly and the quality department has approved all the documentation and the quality standards have been verified, the goods will be ready to be distributed. We can deliver goods in Europe and beyond with our logistic department taking responsibility for coordination. We would be more than happy to arrange import and export documents as required.
